Choosing a book on spiritual traditions

Begin with your purpose: historical reading, an introduction to terminology or further research. Check the original language as well as the subject. Confirm the author, full title, publisher or historical edition, and the language of the available copy. A reference title-page image does not establish the binding or condition of a copy offered for sale. Ask for the contents page, sample pages, printing details, completeness and price before ordering. An Urdu description of an Arabic or English book does not mean that the book is an Urdu translation. Traditional astrology and scientific astronomy are separate subjects. Choose the appropriate section and evaluate the claims in a text critically.
